John Kruk in talks with CSN to join Phillies’ broadcast team
John Kruk is in talks with CSN Philly about joining the Phillies’ TV broadcast team, according to a report.
The Phillies announced Wednesday that fan favorite and former slugger Matt Stairs was hired as the team’s hitting coach, which will create a vacancy on the CSN broadcast team.
And that’s where Kruk comes in.
According to MLB.com’s Todd Zolecki, Kruk is in talks with CSN about joining the Phillies’ broadcast team.
Kruk played six memorable seasons in Philly, being elected to the All-Star Game three times and serving as a key member of the team’s 1993 World Series squad. After his playing career ended, Kruk went into broadcasting and was an analyst for ESPN from 2004 until last month.
After parting ways with ESPN in October, Kruk expressed interest in continuing his career as a broadcaster.
I will continue to pursue TV opportunities so I can continue covering the game I love

It sounds like he may have found new work for next season.
