Right on! I’m tired of turning on ESPN to see their analysts, Peter Gammons for example, all say that they have or will vote for these guys despite illegal drug use. It’s good to hear someone that involved in the game speak up.

I agree with Wade and LB. The cheating is bad enough, but the lying and denials add fuel to the fire. Many of the owners looked the other way because high scoring games and home run records meant higher attendance, so I don’t have that much sympathy for them.

I hope that at some point, Donald Fehr and Gene Orza acknowledge that they made a monumental mistake in avoiding and minimizing drug testing all those years in the course of their labor negotiations.

I agree with good ol Wade….but what era is actually pure. Schmiddty admitted to taking “greenies” and every generation cheated from cut balls to cocaine…steroids may take the cake but its just to much to blanket everyone and simply assume everyone. If they wind up busted or in the Mitchell report – slap an asterisk on the plague mentioning it…or something…
