Klay Thompson takes flying knee to head from Trevor Ariza (Video)
First it was Steph Curry taking a huge tumble against the Rockets, and then it was Klay Thompson getting hurt.
In the fourth quarter of Game 5 of the Western Conference finals on Wednesday night, Thompson took a flying knee to the head from Trevor Ariza. He left the game to be examined but later returned to the Warriors’ bench. ESPN’s Doris Burke reported that Thompson only had a right ear laceration, which was great news considering how bad it looked.
Video shows that Thompson turned his head so that the knee got him in the ear:
Thompson went back into the locker room a second time after his ear began bleeding again, but luckily the Warriors were working the Rockets anyhow and didn’t seem to miss him.
