Mark Cuban offers Chris Broussard $100,000 for proof he was texting DeAndre Jordan’s family
Wednesday was one of the more interesting days in recent memory when it comes to NBA free agency. It appeared all but a done deal that DeAndre Jordan was headed to the Mavericks. However, after changing his mind, Jordan signed a four-year deal to return to the Clippers in a stunning development.
The situation got incredible meme treatment as members of the Clippers organization went to Jordan’s home and wouldn’t leave until he signed a contract.
Among the story lines to develop from the evening was a beef of sorts between Mark Cuban and ESPN’s Chris Broussard. Broussard reported sources informed him Cuban was driving around Houston begging members of Jordan’s family for his address, to which Cuban fired back. Broussard, not surprisingly, didn’t back down and stood by his sources.
On Thursday, Cuban called out Broussard, asking for proof. He even offered $100,000 for it.
@Chris_Broussard how about this. You post any proof I was calling/texting his friends asking anything I give 100k to charity of yr choice.

Chris Broussard has taken more than his fair share of flak over the years for his sources, or what many people perceive to be a lack thereof. He’s been the subject of jokes and some roll their eyes when he tweets or is on SportsCenter with a report. Count Mark Cuban among those who question the validity of Broussard’s information.
