Paul George critical of ‘lifeless’ Pacers after loss
Paul George had some harsh words for his Pacers after they lost 122-100 to the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night.
The loss dropped Indiana to 3-4 on the season and 0-4 on the road. George, who shot just 4 of 12 for 10 points, talked about the lack of chemistry and trust on the team.
Paul George: "We’re just not tied together. We’re allowing the home teams to have the advantage of being home."

Paul George: “We’re all out of whack. There’s no trust, there’s no chemistry, there’s no belief. We’re kind of just lifeless right now.”

Thaddeus Young, who similarly had an off shooting night and did not score a point, also had a negative mindset following the loss.
Thad Young: "The crazy thing is we haven’t really played the toughest teams. When those teams come, they’re not going to play around.”

When you look at the kinds of things they’re saying, it’s hard not to point to the coaching as a potential issue. The Pacers controversially let Frank Vogel go after last season despite his success in Indiana. Now they have Nate McMillan running things, and it’s obvious the team has yet to figure out its identity.
