Floyd Mayweather Jr. is a heavy betting favorite for his highly-anticipated bout against Manny Pacquiao, and 50 Cent believes the oddsmakers know what they’re doing.

During an appearance on Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, 50 Cent revealed that he is planning to place a wager of $1.6 million on Mayweather to win the fight. The rapper said he believes Floyd “can’t lose.”

“I got champ,” 50 Cent said, referring to Mayweather. “He gonna smoke him. It’s gonna look like it was pumped up for no reason.”

If you have followed the ongoing social media war between 50 Cent and Mayweather over the past several months, this may come as a surprise. 50 has publicly mocked Floyd for his reading ability and taunted him with Pacquiao memes like this one.

Less than a month ago, 50 Cent said he didn’t think Mayweather would ever fight Pacquiao because Floyd is “scared to death.” Now, 50 is so confident in Mayweather winning that he is slapping down well over $1 million on it.

Mayweather and 50 Cent used to be close friends, but they had a falling out somewhere along the line. 50 later started buddying up with Pacquiao after him and Floyd went their separate ways. It sounds like the rapper is trying to squeeze his way back onto The Money Team before the biggest fight of the century.
