Amir Khan assures fans he is ‘okay’ after knockout loss

Amir Khan wasted little time posting on social media after his loss to Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas on Saturday night to assure his fans he was doing fine.

Here’s the post from Khan, which included a photo:

Im okay everyone thats boxing for you, congrats to @Canelo monster punch, much love to all the fans! #CaneloKhan pic.twitter.com/oQcqZQrsLl

Khan was knocked out cold in the sixth round by Canelo to the point that many — Canelo included — were worried about his health. He was able to come-to and then did an interview with HBO. As we can see, even an hour after the fight he seemed to be fine.

Khan was taking a big risk by stepping up in weight to fight Canelo. He actually looked good for the first five and a half rounds before being caught by Alvarez.

Though many will mock him for the knockout loss, he actually had a pretty decent showing and has nothing to be ashamed of.
