More than 15 years have passed since Mike Tyson infamously bit Evander Holyfield’s ear during a fight. Life’s too short for the parties involved to not joke about it now, and that is exactly what they have been doing over the past few months. Back in June, Tyson promoted Holyfield’s barbecue sauce on his Twitter account by writing that Holyfield’s ear would have tasted better with it. On Monday, Holyfield tweeted the photo you see above along with the following:
“@MikeTyson bit my ear and all I got was this lousy t-shirt.”
The shirt can be purchased online as part of the Mike Tyson Collection, so it appears the two former heavyweight champions have turned into promoters for each other. It’s no secret Holyfield has had some financial problems recently, so perhaps it is a relationship that can benefit both. Good for them for turning the whole thing into water under the bridge.
