Getting to the Bottom of Navy’s 9-4 Season

Navy. Navy of all teams, was 9-4 and went to a bowl game this year. They were an absolute wrecking crew, rolling up 327 yards on the ground per game, pretty astonishing when you remember the Raiders highest rusher for the season only had 659 yards in 16 games. They were led in the year by the president of the all-vowel team, well, I’ll let you decipher

“His name is Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada and he’s been Navy’s starting quarterback for only four games. Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada (pronounced Kai-Po Noah Ku-Hey-Ah-Koo-Inhada)”

So after I was emailed a certain video, it finally struck me as to why Navy turned things around from 0-10 in 2001 to 8-4 in 2003 in Paul Johnson’s 2nd year, and now 9-4 in ’06. Check out his recruiting video:
