USC pays tribute to Junior Seau with wristband, sideline honor (Pictures)

USC paid tribute to former program legend Junior Seau during their season-opening game on Saturday at the Coliseum in Los Angeles.

Seau, who was an All-American linebacker for the school, committed suicide in May. To honor him, the school gave away wristbands like the one seen above to all 80,000 fans in attendance. The bands say “Trojan Pride 55,” which is a reference to Seau’s No. 55 jersey.

There was also a tribute for Seau written on the sidelines of the field that said “RIP 55.”

It certainly was a fitting tribute to a player who was such a warrior on the field for the Trojans.
