Jose Canseco Skips Boxing Event After Claiming He Wasn’t Paid

It’s truly sad that Jose Canseco’s only marketable talents at this point are boxing (poorly) and playing slow pitch softball, but that’s where the former 40-40 man stands in his life.

Canseco was set to fight Saturday evening at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel in Florida but it didn’t go on.

Radar Online says Canseco canceled after not getting paid the $5,000 up front he was promised. In an amazing comeback, fight promoter Damon Feldman accused Jose of sending his twin Ozzie to fight instead.

Canseco’s tweets on the matter confirm what Radar is saying. He wrote in separate tweets Saturday “Be very careful with Damon feldman who runs celebrity boxing he will not pay you if you fight for him … Damon feldman will not fulfil his part of the bargain.”

Does this Feldman character have no heart? Doesn’t he realize Canseco has been evicted and needs all the money he can get? Poor show Feldman, poor show.

UPDATE: Turns out Feldman was right and Jose was lying.
