Andy Dalton thumb injury reportedly ‘likely season-ending’
Andy Dalton may not play again in 2015 after suffering a fractured thumb in a loss to the Steelers on Sunday.
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said after the game that Dalton would be “out for a bit” with the injury. According to a report from ESPN’s Bob Holtzman, Dalton is going to miss at least the remainder of the regular season and possibly the postseason as well.
Here's what I'm told about Andy Dalton's fractured thumb: likely season ending, best case scenario is playoffs, per multiple team sources.

While Dalton doesn’t exactly have a reputation for being a clutch performer, losing him for the year would be a major blow for Cincinnati. He has been playing the best football of his career and the 10-3 Bengals have a two-game lead over the Steelers in the AFC North.
A.J. McCarron will start in Dalton’s absence.
