Chad Ochocinco accused of not making child support payments

Chad-Ochocinco

Former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco is being accused of not paying child support to the mother of one of his children.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, a woman named Andrea Pearson alleges that Ochocinco did not make a $5,250 child support payment in April. Pearson is asking a judge to either garnish Ochocinco’s wages, force him to pay a fine or throw him in jail.

When asked about the court filing, Ochocinco told TMZ he would have no problem paying the amount if Pearson had just asked him.

“5k? That’s it? All she had to do was call like normal people do,” he said. “You can always tell who is in it for the money.”

This is not the first time Ochocinco — formerly known as Chad Johnson — has had issues with paying child support. In 2013, he claimed he was making only $3,000 per month while being held responsible for over $16,000 per month in child support.

One of Ocho’s close buddies was threatened with jail time a few years back over unpaid child support. Perhaps the two could retain the services of the same lawyer and get a discounted rate.
