Derrick Henry is one impressive physical specimen, and his numbers posted at the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine attest to that.
Henry ran impressively in his 40-yard dashes at the combine Friday. He clocked in unofficial times of 4.52 and 4.54. He was officially given a time of 4.54.
Keep in mind that Henry is 6-foot-3 and 247 pounds. That kind of speed is ridiculous for a player his size.

Henry’s broad jump was 10-foot-10 inches. He also posted a 37-inch vertical leap. Those are also very strong numbers.
Some people are talking about Henry as if he can only be a power back and clock-killer. I think his speed and overall athleticism, proved by these numbers, show he can do much more.
Ezekiel Elliott might be the better overall back, but Henry will be a very productive NFL running back. And if these combine numbers don’t impress you, wait til you see Henry’s weightlifting numbers.
