Panthers WR Stephen Hill cited for marijuana paraphernalia
This is not the way Stephen Hill wanted to begin training camp.
The week the Carolina Panthers are set to report to training camp, Hill, a former second-round pick of the Jets, was cited for possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
Hill was pulled over for a seat belt violation and was found to be in possession of two grinders with marijuana residue, as well as a marijuana bowl, the Charlotte Observer reports. Guess we know he’s more of a pipe than joint guy. Worst of all, there was a woman and young child in the car, The Sporting News reports, and Hill admitted to smoking earlier in the day. He was said to be cooperative during the stop.
Hill joined the Panthers last September as a practice squad player and is trying to make their roster as one of their receivers. He has 45 catches for 594 yards and four touchdowns over his two-year career.
