Rex Ryan updated his Jets tattoo to Bills colors
Rex Ryan is already “all-in” and fully immersed in his new job as head coach of the Buffalo Bills, so there was only one change left to be made: tweaking the permanent ink on his body.
The Wall Street Journal reports that while Ryan was in Arizona last week for the Super Bowl, he made a stop at a tattoo parlor to have his Jets tattoo updated to Bills colors.
The Journal says Ryan called “Old Town Ink” in Scottsdale and asked to have the color of the jersey his wife is wearing in the tattoo on his arm from green to blue.
The shop charged Ryan its $80 minimum fee and they say he tipped well.
You may recall that Ryan’s tattoo became a big deal when it was discovered in 2013. The ink features a cartoon depiction of his wife in a Jets jersey with the No. 6 on it, which was Mark Sanchez’s number. After Sanchez was released by the Jets, Ryan said he was considering altering the tattoo. Now that he’s with a new team, he decided to make the change.
Though this tattoo gets all the attention, it’s definitely not as wild as the one Rex has on his leg.
