Louis Oosthuizen screwed by British Open wind (Video)
The 2015 British Open is headed for a Monday finish because of heavy rain on Friday and insane wind on Saturday. Just before play was suspended on Saturday, Louis Oosthuizen caught the worst of the wind.
Oosthuizen was about to mark a tap-in par putt on the 13th hole when a gust of wind blew his ball about six feet from the hole. At that point, rules officials decided to halt play.
There are still 40 golfers who need to finish their second round, and several of them were furious that they had to play for roughly 30 minutes on Saturday before the wind delay. It’s one thing for the wind to be affecting balls mid-flight, but what happened to Oosthuizen is just unfair.
