Winnipeg Jets fans chant ‘silver medal’ at Buffalo goalie Ryan Miller (Video)

Is there any doubt that the people of Winnipeg are glad to have professional hockey back? The Jets fans have quickly become some of the best in hockey, and the team is 21-10-4 at home as a result. They are fighting for the 8th playoff spot in the Eastern Conference and are one of the teams that you could easily envision playing spoiler for a top seed. Jets fans don’t just want troughs brought back to the arena restrooms, they’re also extremely clever when it comes to taunting opponents. As you can see from the video above that Puck Daddy shared with us, they chanted “silver medal!” at Buffalo goalie Ryan Miller on Monday night.

Miller, of course, was the goalie for the United States at the 2010 Olympics when they lost to Canada in the finals. Buffalo lost to the Jets and is struggling this season. However, they shouldn’t feel bad. A lot of teams have lost in Winnipeg this season, and the passionate fans are one of the biggest reasons why.
