Olympic village had waterfall coming down stairwell (Video)
Some parts of the Olympic village in Rio were dealing with a water shortage over the past week or so. We might have a guess about where some of that water has been redirected.
Czech cyclist Zdeněk Štybar shared a video on Instagram Thursday night that showed water pouring down a staircase in the Olympic village like a waterfall. It was not raining outside and the fire alarm had not been pulled, so the source of this water is a total mystery.
The opening ceremony for the 2016 Summer Olympics will take place on Friday night. Is it safe to say Rio is a bit unprepared?
Now we know what the Australian Olympic Committee was talking about when they said they ran tests and deemed the village uninhabitable. Water definitely should not, under any circumstances, be flowing down a staircase like that. Even an architect like George Costanza could tell you that.
