LeBron James reportedly got into it with Wizards fan Bob Moore, threatened him

The Heat cruised to a 106-89 victory over the Wizards on Friday, but from the sound of it LeBron James experienced plenty of frustration during the game anyway. According to NBC Sports writer Sarah Kogod, LeBron got into it with a Wizards fan over — what else — the Delonte West situation. The heckling over West and LeBron’s mom seems to follow him anywhere he goes, but he was reportedly in no mood to hear it in Washington. Here are the tweets Kogod sent out that outlined what went down between King James and Wizards fan Bob Moore:

Listening to someone talk about your mother is difficult for everyone, but LeBron is a global icon. For him to be engaging hecklers like that is completely unacceptable, and I’m sure the NBA would agree. Between this and his whining earlier in the week about being an easy target, LeBron has clearly shown he’s not above getting frustrated by what people say about him.

Gisele Bundchen rips Patriots receivers in response to heckling Giants fan

Gisele Bundchen is rarely ever present to watch the Patriots play. She is obviously busy making millions of dollars, but Patriots fans probably feel as though she should stay busy more often. Once again, Gisele was on hand Sunday afternoon to watch Tom Brady and company lose one of the biggest games of their lives. As she exited her luxury box following the Super Bowl 46 loss, a Giants fan decided to heckle Gisele. She then did what a celebrity or athlete should never do: responded.

“Eli rules!” the fan yelled according to CBS New York. “Eli owns your husband!”

“You (have) to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” Bundchen fired back. “My husband cannot (bleeping) throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time. I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.”

Known for being a great teammate and great leader on and off the field, Brady will likely cringe when he hears about the exchange.  Gisele is right about New England’s receivers needing to catch the ball. Brady’s favorite target, Wes Welker, had the most important drop of the game on a drive where the Patriots could have used a score.  Aaron Hernandez and Deion Branch each dropped a pass as the Patriots were fighting for their lives with under a minute to go.  Mistakes killed New England, but everyone on the team made them — Brady included.

Between this and the sickening email Gisele sent to family members last week, Brady’s wife isn’t earning any points among a fan base that widely considers her to be a jinx.

Alberto Contador Punches a Heckling Fan at Tour de France (Video)

If I told you I was a big fan of the Tour de France, I would be lying.  That being said, I do follow the highlights and pay attention to some of the tense moments.  Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong, Tour de France buffs, but this year’s Tour seems like one of the craziest in history.  We have already seen one racer get tangled up in a barbed wire fence after a car ran a few cyclists off the road a little over a week ago.  Now, the fans are getting in on the nuttiness.  Check out the video of Alberto Contador punching a fan, courtesy of Deadspin:

In case the joke flew over your head, the fan Contador punched was dressed as a doctor carrying a blood bag.  That, of course, is a reference to the three-time Tour champion giving a positive drug test last year.  Heckling is one thing.  Running alongside a cyclist during a race and making fun of them to their face is another.  Guy got what he deserved.

Erin Andrews Confronts Fans Over Peephole Video Heckle

Erin Andrews comes across as a level-headed reporter who sticks to her assignments and does her job well. You figure someone as attractive as she is probably has to deal with catcalls, autograph/picture requests, and inappropriateness from fans wherever she goes. She’s probably used to it all and does a good job deflecting it otherwise we’d see videos like this one more frequently.

As The Last Angry Fan points out via Total Pro Sports, if there’s one thing you don’t want to do it’s bring up the Erin Andrews peephole video. Skip ahead to the 2:25 mark in this video to see Andrews confront some fans:

I questioned Andrews’ reaction to the peephole video incident, namely her decision to appear on Oprah’s TV show to talk about it, but it’s hard not to feel badly for her knowing what a sore subject it is. We’ve written about some brutal fan heckling in the past, but it’s clear that invasion of privacy will forever haunt Andrews like little else can. Fellow reporters should be happy it hasn’t happened to them.

UPDATE: Busted Coverage points out this took place at the 2010 College World Series (you can see it’s Rosenblatt Stadium). Still, that doesn’t change that it appears to be an uncomfortable subject for Andrews.

Kirk Herbstreit Moved Out of Ohio Because of Fan Heckling

Kirk Herbstreit and his family have moved out of Ohio. Take it from one who knows: moving it tough, not fun. It must be even less fun when you are heckled out of town.  According to Herbsteit, that’s exactly why he and his family chose to relocate to Nashville, Tenn.

Herbstreit was a quarterback at The Ohio State in the late 80s and early 90s.  Although he works as a college football analyst for ESPN, he insists you won’t find a bigger Buckeyes fan in the country. “Nobody loves Ohio State more than me,” Herbstreit told The Columbus Dispatch. “I still have a picture of Woody Hayes and my dad (Jim, a former OSU player) in my office, and nobody will do more than I do for the university behind the scenes.”

However, Herbstreit said there is a small fraction of the Ohio State community that takes issue with his responsibility as an objective analyst, and it was their criticism over the years that forced him out of Ohio.  “I’ve got a job to do, and I’m going to continue to be fair and objective,” he explained. “To continue to have to defend myself and my family in regards to my love and devotion to Ohio State is unfair.”

Andrei Kirilenko Repping the Justin Bieber Haircut, Heckled by Pacers Fans

Man, that Justin Bieber is quite the trend-setter.  The guy just one day decides he wants the worst haircut in the male post-wig era and athletes and celebrities from all over the globe are mesmerized enough to follow suit.  Since Tom Brady’s hair has grown beyond Beiber status, the pop star might need another target for his rap songs about his hair.  He may have found one from Utah.  Check out Andrei Kirilenko’s Justin Bieber haircut:

Word has it Kirilenko has already been hearing it from the fans.  Accoring to SLAM Online via Ben Maller, Pacers fans were chanting “Justin Bieber” as he ran up and down the court in Indiana on Friday night.  Needless to say, the Bieber legend continues to grow with each passing day.

Video: LeBron James Tells Fan Not to be Disrespectful

LeBron James had words for a heckler at the Palace of Auburn Hills Friday night when the Heat played the Pistons. Generally you hear athletes say that they don’t pay attention to fans or boos, but maybe there’s something about the Palace’s acoustics that makes players more susceptible to fan remarks — we sure know it got to Ron Artest. Anyway, via Red’s Army, looks like TV microphones picked up on LeBron’s discussion with that fan. Here’s how it sounded:

I’m not as concerned with LeBron telling the fan off as I am shocked that this video exists. Such is the day in which we live that something like this can end up on the internet. Nothing slips through the cracks these days. I’m just surprised pictures of Gloria James and Delonte West’s date at McDonald’s haven’t surfaced yet. As for LeBron, if the rumors about those two getting it on aren’t true, why would he get so upset? Seems to confirm it to me, no?
