Here’s an act of classlessness that you luckily won’t see every day. Mike Batiste, a high-flying, former ASU superstar that plays for Panathinaikos in the Euroleague, apparently has a pretty nasty side to him. I have no idea what ticked him off, but whatever it was I’m pretty confident he didn’t need to stomp on someone’s head over it. According to Ballin Europe, Batiste was called for a foul on a play where it appeared Ozbolt may have flopped a little. Panathinaikos coach Zeljko Obradovic saw the stomp and made Batiste ride the pine for the remainder of the fourth quarter. Panathinaikos lost the game 57-55 and Batiste is said to be a huge part of their offense, so punishing him for the cheap shot may have cost them the game. Kudos to Obradovic for taking a stand at the expense of the game. Maybe Rex Ryan should take a few pointers. Thanks to YouTube user TheThePaskec for the video.
