
Bartolo Colon can now list “Guinness World Record holder” on his lengthy resume of incredible accomplishments.
Colon set a record two weekends ago when he homered off the Padres’ James Shields for his first career home run. At age 42, the Dominican Republic native was the oldest player to hit a first career homer.
On Tuesday, Colon was honored at Citi Field and presented with an award from Guinness World Records recognizing him as the oldest player to hit a first career home run:
