Bobby Witt Jr. makes absurd defensive play against Dodgers
Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. flashed his premium glove during his team’s Friday clash against the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif.
The Royals and Dodgers were tied at 3 to start the bottom of the 7th.
Dodgers batter Teoscar Hernandez drew a walk to start the inning. Andy Pages then blooped a ball to no man’s land in left field that looked destined to be a hit. But Witt somehow made an over-the-shoulder catch to get Pages out.
Not only did Witt make the incredible grab, but he also had the awareness to immediately get the ball back to the infield to get Hernandez out for a double play.

Witt may have been a little more locked in given that it was his 24th birthday.
However, Witt’s defensive gem wasn’t enough to wake up the Kansas City’s bats. After taking a 3-0 lead after four innings, the Royals failed to score the rest of the way and lost 4-3.
