Carlos Carrasco out 4-6 weeks with strained hamstring
The sports gods continue to thumb their noses at the city of Cleveland.
The Indians announced on Monday that pitcher Carlos Carrasco will be sidelined for four to six weeks with a moderate left hamstring strain, per Bob Nightengale of USA TODAY Sports.

The 29-year-old Carrasco pulled up lame covering first base in the third inning of Sunday’s 6-3 victory over the Tigers. He was in the midst of a phenomenal start to the 2016 campaign, sporting a 2-0 record with a 2.45 ERA and 20 strikeouts through his first four starts of the season.
The right-hander is a core member of the Indians’ rotation, forming a menacing front triumvirate with former AL Cy Young Award winner Corey Kluber and whiff rate divinity Danny Salazar. The Indians will definitely miss Carrasco’s control and ability to keep hitters off base. But with talented youngster Trevor Bauer salivating at the chance to get back into the starting five, Cleveland should at least be able to tread water for the next few weeks.
