Chris Sale throwback cutting incident gets fantastic meme treatment
In one of the more bizarre stories of the Major League Baseball season, Chris Sale was scratched from his scheduled start on Saturday due to what was called a “clubhouse incident” by the White Sox. As more details began to emerge, it was discovered jerseys played a role.
Sale apparently lost his temper and threw a tantrum over the throwback uniforms the team was to wear Saturday evening. However, that wasn’t all. Sale reportedly felt so strongly against them the five-time all-star cut up a few.
Almost immediately after the news began to make its rounds, the internet responded as it usually does when an outlandish story breaks. The memes and jokes began to fly.
A popular choice was to make an “Edward Scissorhands” reference.

Say what you want about Chris Sale's antics, but when it comes to pitching that dude is a cut above. pic.twitter.com/GkZJf6aUaf

A couple of wrestlers made appearances, namely Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake.
"Hey Chris, you mind trying on the throwback jerseys for tonight's game?"

Prior to Saturday’s news, there had been reports of Sale being on the move prior to the trade deadline. Albert Breer wondered if he can now be had for a discount.
So does this mean the Sox can get Sales on the cheap bc he's outta his effing mind?

It’s fair a question to ask.
