James Shields has a reputation for having one of the best pickoff moves in baseball, especially for a right-handed pitcher. Shields picked off 12 runners in 2011, which is just an astounding figure — especially for a right-hander. Few know about his move better than David Price, who was his teammate with the Tampa Bay Rays from 2008-2012.
While enjoying an off day Thursday, Price was watching his former teammate pitch for the Kansas City Royals against the Toronto Blue Jays and correctly predicted a pickoff.
Shields will pick Gose off…don't believe me just watch!!

As seen in the video above, Shields picked off Anthony Gose. Gose was initially called safe, but the Royals successfully challenged the call.
see…he might have just did it!!! Hahah he's OUT

Price then tried to get someone to pay up on a failed Twitter wager.
haha go ahead and take off then RT @geopaschall: @DAVIDprice14 if it happens, I'll run around my block in my undies.

Some fan also said it was nice that Price was watching the Jays play, but he said he was watching Shields pitch. Then he had to respond to some numbskull fan who thinks he shouldn’t be allowed to watch games or have fun or do anything other than think about pitching for his Rays (or something like that):
Yea I'm focusing on this off day win right now!! RT @trhasan: @DAVIDprice14 shouldn't you be focusing on your own team games lol

Sheesh, fans can be so harsh at times! But credit to Price for calling that — that was awesome!
