The symbolism of the Chicago Cubs’ World Series title was certainly not lost on outfielder Dexter Fowler.
According to a report by TMZ on Friday, Fowler bought 108 bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue Label scotch for the entire Cubs team — players, coaches, and front office personnel alike — after their first championship in 108 years.
Each bottle is said to have been engraved with a special message to salute the Cubs’ postseason run: “108 Years Later. Fly the W. 2016.”

Fowler was as instrumental to the team’s success as anybody, collecting a total of 18 hits, three home runs, and six RBIs in the playoffs, including a huge leadoff homer off Cleveland Indians ace Corey Kluber in Game 7 of the World Series. The Johnnie Walker Blue Label appears to be a popular gift choice amongst MLB players nowadays, but these ones are sure to taste a lot sweeter for Fowler and the Cubs.
