Dodgers reportedly close to re-signing Justin Turner
The Los Angeles Dodgers will be bringing back closer Kenley Jansen, and it sounds like they’re close to retaining another key piece as well.
Buster Olney of ESPN reported on Monday that the Dodgers were “increasingly confident” about their chances of re-signing free agent third baseman Justin Turner and were discussing a four-year deal with him.

Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports confirmed that the Dodgers will indeed have an agreement with Turner in addition to Jansen.

The 32-year-old Turner seems to have found a home with the Dodgers over the last few seasons and had a career year in 2016 with 27 home runs, 90 RBIs, and an .832 OPS. Amongst other teams, Turner was drawing interest from this National League rival, but it sounds like his heart stayed in Los Angeles this entire time.
