Mets executive thinks Tim Tebow’s season was a success
New York Mets minor leaguer Tim Tebow’s season is over, but the team is certainly happy with his progress.
Tebow is likely finished for the season after breaking a bone in his hand, which will come as a disappointment to many. That includes the Mets themselves, who are clearly pleased with the progress Tebow is making.
Mets acting general manager John Ricco was full of praise for Tebow’s progress in 2018.
John Ricco said Tebow’s surgery is about a 6-8 week recovery time and his 2018 season has likely come to an end. He views this season for Tebow as “nothing but a positive”. #Mets

In 84 games at Double-A Binghamton, Tebow hit .273 with six home runs, the best numbers of his minor league career to date. While he wasn’t starring, his numbers were certainly solid enough and silencing a lot of critics. Unfortunately, any chance he had of playing in the majors in 2018 is now finished.
