Report: Tim Tebow likely out for season after breaking bone in hand
Tim Tebow was placed on the disabled list by the New York Mets over the weekend after he suffered a hand injury on an awkward swing last week, and we may not see him again this season.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Tebow broke a bone in his right hand and will require surgery, likely putting him on the shelf for the remainder of the year.

Tebow had really started to heat up with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies, and he was batting .273 on the year with six home runs. He also made his presence felt in his first at bat of the Eastern League All-Star Game, and it goes without saying that fans are going to be disappointed about his extended absence.
