Noah Syndergaard is taking the recent trade buzz surrounding him in stride.
The New York Mets righty was the subject of a report Thursday stating that the team was considering trading him away ahead of the Jul. 31 deadline.
In response to those rumors, Syndergaard took to Twitter later in the day with a post that read “Here come them trade talks.” He also included a GIF of Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian in the recent movie “Solo: A Star Wars Story” saying, “You might want to buckle up, baby.”

Syndergaard, who is under club control through 2021, has struggled this season to the tune of a 7-5 record and a 4.33 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP. That said, the former All-Star is still just 26 and is very much a fan favorite.
Thor was also the subject of trade rumors last year that failed to materialize, so he knows not to get prematurely worked up come this time of year.
