Boston Red Sox pitcher Rick Porcello had some amazing words for Manny Machado after hitting the Orioles star with a pitch in the fourth inning of Monday’s game in Baltimore.
Porcello retired the first two batters he faced in the bottom of the fourth before a pitch ran inside on him and hit Machado in the elbow. Machado was visibly upset about being hit and took a slow stroll down to first base.
Porcello was seen looking at Machado, and the Red Sox pitcher could be seen mouthing to him that he wasn’t trying to hit him. Porcello used some more colorful words, though.
It appeared Porcello said, “I’m not trying to f—ing hit you, bro. Why would I want to do that with that motherf—er coming up? Use your f—ing head.”
The batter coming up next was MLB home run leader Mark Trumbo, who ended up hitting an RBI double to put Baltimore on the board.
Like Porcello said, use your head, Machado.
