Tigers broadcaster gave cool gift to Terry Francona
The Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indians aren’t always on the friendliest terms as division rivals in the AL Central, so that makes a gesture that longtime Tigers broadcaster Jim Price made this week even cooler.
As the Tigers and Indians kicked off a three-game series on Monday, Price gifted Indians manager Terry Francona with a glove that was signed by his father, the late Tito Francona. MLB.com’s Jordan Bastian shared images.

The 76-year-old Price, who has served as a Tigers broadcaster since 1993, played in the league from 1967 to 1971. He was a contemporary of the elder Francona, who played from 1956 to 1970 and passed away just this February.
This is the Indians’ first time playing in Detroit this season, and the signed glove will definitely make for a priceless keepsake for the younger Francona.
