Report: Tim Anderson to be suspended one game for role in brawl
Some would say Tim Anderson was the victim in Wednesday’s scuffle between the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox, but MLB clearly sees things differently.
According to Stadium, Anderson will be suspended for his role in the dust-up, which started after he was hit by a pitch in apparent response to a bat toss after hitting a home run.

According to ESPN’s Jeff Passan, Anderson will be suspended for one game for language used during the altercation.

There was some surprise that Anderson was ejected from the game, so news of a suspension is going to draw significant outcry, especially after he rather eagerly defended his actions to critics on Twitter. Ultimately, MLB apparently feels it should punish everyone involved with the on-field confrontation, and that includes the hitter.
