Tim Lincecum appears to have cut his long hair (Pictures)
Tim Lincecum appears to be the latest professional athlete to cut his signature long hair.
A few days ago, we shared a video of snowboarder Shaun White cutting off his iconic long red locks. Now, pictures have surfaced of the San Francisco Giants pitcher sporting a cropped hairdo.
@csnbaggs i know this is a week old, but i’m surprised there hasn’t been a story on this, lol. R.I.P. Lincecum Hair. twitter.com/felixisback/st…

A Seattle hair stylist named Jake Gravbrot first shared the news over Twitter on Dec. 9 that Lincecum had cut his hair. Gravbrot made it clear that he did not cut Lincecum’s hair, but he does think it signifies a “fresh start” for the pitcher.
Lincecum’s hair was actually short when he first came up with the Giants, and when he pitched for the University of Washington. The two-time Cy Young Award winner began growing out his hair around 2008, which was his second season in the bigs. After a nice five-year ride, it looks like he’s gone back to his shorter hair.
Giants fans are hoping the haircut will have a reverse-Samson effect and help the pitcher regain his All-Star form following a poor 2012 campaign.
