Twins’ Miguel Sano carted off after suffering leg injury
Miguel Sano was taken away on a cart during Tuesday’s Minnesota Twins-Houston Astros game after suffering a leg injury.
Sano was trying to advance to second on a wild pitch and injured himself while sliding into the bag. His left leg appeared to make solid contact with Astros shortstop Carlos Correa.

Sano had a titanium rod inserted into his left leg last year to repair a stress reaction in his left shin. The 25-year-old third baseman has been struggling all season and was sent down to the minor leagues by Minnesota in May. He is batting .202 with a .687 OPS this season, a year after breaking out with 28 homers and an .859 OPS.
