VJ Edgecombe must feel like he’s living in a simulation after LeBron James announced his next move.
King James shocked the basketball world on Friday when he revealed that he was signing with the Philadelphia 76ers. The move drew a massive wave of reactions from fans on social media. Edgecombe reacted to the news just like any rabid Sixers fan would.
Edgecombe posted a photo of himself mimicking LeBron’s iconic meme pose.

Edgecombe forgot to put the appropriate caption.
“Smiling through it all! Can’t believe this is my life,” James captioned his original Instagram story post back in 2018.

Instead of lounging poolside this offseason like LeBron was in his original photo, the Bahamian sensation was clearly mid-workout at a gym. Both he and Maxey were working out when they heard about their newest larger-than-life teammate, as if 76ers fans needed any more reasons to love their promising young backcourt.
Best thing about it was Edgecombe and Maxey were in the gym when the news broke. Whole team is in the lab. pic.twitter.com/VJ88309lFi

Edgecombe’s life has indeed become quite unbelievable since he arrived in the NBA as the No. 3 overall pick in last year’s draft.
First, he ended up on a star-studded Sixers squad rather than a rebuilding team. Then Jaylen Brown got traded to Philadelphia earlier this month.
Early last year, the VJ was still prepping for March Madness at Baylor. In a few months, he’ll be tossing lobs to LeBron with Maxey, Brown, and Joel Embiid on the court alongside them.
