Adam Silver says he will not have a better idea about the future of the current NBA season until next month.
Silver spoke with Turner Sports’ Ernie Johnson for an interview. ESPN’s Tim Bontemps shared some of what was said in the interview, including Silver saying he wouldn’t know more until May 1.

Silver’s comments come around a time when there is talk about the season being shut down.
The league was suspended on March 11 right after Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus. While the league’s players and owners would love to continue the season, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst has reported that there is pessimism surrounding a restart.
Until society has more information, it will be difficult to say whether a cancellation is ahead.
