Angel Reese pulls notable sports ownership move
Angel Reese may have just begun her professional career, but she is already getting involved on the ownership side of things.
Women’s pro soccer team DC Power FC announced on social media this week that the Chicago Sky rookie star is a new co-owner of their franchise. Reese also confirmed the news in a post to her X page, mentioning that she was especially excited to join the ownership group as a native of Maryland.
Welcome DC Power FC Co-Owner, @Reese10Angel!

So grateful & blessed for this new ownership! Looking forward to creating new opportunities for women in professional soccer. I’ve always had to desire to invest in a local team as a Maryland native!https://t.co/1euMTm1ELl

DC Power FC is based in Washington, DC and will be competing in the USL Super League, a new league operated by United Soccer League (USL) that will officially begin play in August. In addition to Reese, the DC Power FC ownership group also includes DC United, one of the most accomplished teams in Major League Soccer (MLS).
After a superb last two seasons at LSU (that included a national title win in 2023), the 23-year-old Reese was selected No. 7 overall by the Sky in this year’s WNBA Draft. She is one of the bigger personalities in women’s sports right now and is now branching out into sports ownership to go along with her various endorsement deals (including Reebok, Beats By Dre, and other well-known companies).
