“Ball vs. Paul” could soon be coming to a screen near you.

LiAngelo Ball, the middle of the basketball-playing Ball brothers, went viral this week for his comments about the YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. On the “What An Experience” podcast, the show that he shares with his older brother Lonzo and their friends, LiAngelo said that he would be interested in fighting Paul next, assuming that he got a good payday out of it.

LiAngelo added that he would need a few months to train though, acknowledging that Paul “would sleep me in a boxing match.”

Here is the full clip.

Even if Paul, fresh off a unanimous decision victory over 58-year-old Mike Tyson, is still only a partly-serious professional boxer at best, LiAngelo may indeed be barking up the wrong tree here. Though LiAngelo might have the height advantage at 6-foot-5 to Paul’s 6-foot-1, Paul has an establishing history of clobbering basketball players with no fighting experience.

It could admittedly be fun to see the comedy show that would ensue from the Ball family going up against the Paul family, especially if father LaVar Ball gets involved as the promoter. But there are other much more likely (and much more capable) opponents who are willing to fight Paul instead.
