A professional blogger’s daughter has gone viral after her father shared a video clip on Twitter this week of the young girl playing tenacious defense at a basketball practice.
Barstool Sports personality Chaps, who hosts a military podcast called Zero Blog Thirty, shared a video clip on Twitter Monday that shows his 7-year-old daughter playing relentless defense. You must watch it to appreciate it:

Chaps posted about it on Barstool’s blog, writing:
“From the moment my daughter stepped between the lines, it was all business. It wasn’t about glory. It wasn’t about herself. It was about the will to do exactly what her coach asked her. Whistle to whistle. Second to second. She was to lock down her man. That’s exactly what she did. It’s old school, baby.”
After the video received attention, Chaps spoke with My San Antonio about the video. He told them the video was actually from his 7-year-old daughter McCartney’s first ever basketball practice. He told her to stick on defense, and she listened.
“She said, ‘Got it, dad.’ It didn’t really surprise me. She has a tenacious little personality all the time, she’s just a wild card — she tries really hard at everything she does,” he told My San Antonio.
The result is the video that captured everyone’s attention, and even got Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen talking and breaking it down.
That is how to play defense. Just exceptional ball denial. Pretty soon she’s going to be screaming out “First-team All-Defense” after making big plays.
