The Boston Celtics won’t be getting Kyrie Irving back in the playoffs, but everything seems to be progressing well in terms of his recovery from knee surgery.
Coach Brad Stevens said Monday that the medical staff working closely with Irving post-surgery feel “great” about his recovery thus far.
Brad on Kyrie: “Talking to our training staff and the people that are working most closely with him, they feel great about his early [recovery]. That’s exciting, that’s encouraging."

It’s been all good news for the Celtics on the Irving front since his surgery, which was described as an unqualified success. Even if the Celtics put together a deep playoff run, Irving’s season is over, but all signs point to him being healthy and good to go when training camp opens.
