It’s no secret that the Chicago Bulls shopped Zach LaVine in the trade market earlier this season. The team has reportedly lowered their demands.

LaVine was linked to several teams throughout the 2023-24 campaign. But despite being a 2-time All-Star who has averaged over 20 points per game for his career, there wasn’t much interest in LaVine.

The Bulls were previously seeking either an All-Star talent, first-round picks, or a combination of both. But according to NBC Sports Chicago’s KC Johnson, the team’s asking price has now “dropped significantly.”

Johnson added that the desire from both sides to get a trade done “has grown” and that the relationship between LaVine and the Bulls “has run its course.”

The Bulls’ negotiating power before the trade deadline was significantly hurt by the fact that LaVine underwent season-ending surgery in February to address his right foot injury.

LaVine played just 25 games during the regular season. He averaged 19.5 points and 3.9 assists and shot just 34.9% on three-pointers. All marks are LaVine’s worst since the 2017-18 campaign, when the UCLA alum was recovering from a torn ACL.

Given that the Bulls guard is represented by Rich Paul, it’s no surprise which Western Conference team has been tied to LaVine.
