The Boston Celtics are reportedly still interested in Jimmy Butler and Jahlil Okafor at the right price, with both said to still be available.
According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, the Celtics are still willing to make the deals they had on the table before the draft, with Butler and Okafor both reportedly available for the right price. That price, however, remains more than the Celtics are willing to pay. If the price goes down, they would be willing to deal, but that may be more difficult now that they used the No. 3 pick in the NBA Draft on Jaylen Brown.
Boston was heavily involved in trade talks leading up to the draft, but one of the team’s owners made it clear why no deals got done. By the sound of things, the Celtics are still interested in big moves, even after bringing in a top-shelf free agent. They’re simply holding out for the right price, and they’re not finding that right now.
