Damian Lillard’s half brother Jahrell reportedly shot

What should have been one of the happiest weeks of Damian Lillard’s life has quickly taken a turn, as the NBA star’s half-brother was reportedly shot on Thursday night.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office in Oregon confirmed to Nate Hanson of KGW8 News that Lillard’s 20-year-old half-brother Jahrell was the victim of a shooting at the Clackamas Town Center. He was transported to a local hospital, and his condition was unknown as of Friday morning. Police were searching for two suspects.

More details:

Two African-American males got in a confrontation with Lillard in the parking lot that ended with the Lillard being shot, according to Sgt. Brian Jensen with the sheriff’s office. The shooting was reported at around 9 p.m.

Lillard made his way into a nearby Macy’s Home Store, where he collapsed on the floor and was given first aid, Jensen said. He was taken to a hospital but Jensen was not sure how serious Lillard’s injuries were.

The two suspects were last seen running onto Southeast Monterrey Avenue.

Several cars were hit by gunfire as well, Jensen said.

Damian Lillard left the Blazers earlier in the week to be with his girlfriend as the couple welcomed its first child.
