Eastern Conference team reportedly joining mix for Bronny James
Bronny James appears to have a new suitor on the other coast.
Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints reported this week that the Philadelphia 76ers may have interest in selecting Bronny James in the NBA Draft later this month. Siegel notes that Bronny and his camp have been very selective about which teams to talk to but that NBA personnel ultimately see the 76ers as another possible suitor for him.
As it stands right now, there are reportedly at least two other NBA teams interested in drafting the 19-year-old Bronny. They are the L.A. Lakers, who have Bronny’s father LeBron James on their roster, as well as a big Western Conference rival of the Lakers.
As for the 76ers, they currently own picks No. 16 and No. 41 in this year’s draft. They notably targeted LeBron as a free agent back in 2018 before he ultimately signed with the Lakers and are sniffing around multiple star free agents again this year. A possible pursuit of Bronny looks to be another seismic move that Philly is considering.
