A former Clippers player blasted the team for trading away Blake Griffin and placed the blame on a prominent member of the organization.
Not long after news broke that Griffin would be changing teams, many took to social media to express their opinions on the deal, including superfan Clipper Darrell.
Matt Barnes, who had two stints with the Clippers, blasted his former team for trading Griffin after signing him to a big contract. He also labeled Doc Rivers as the problem.
Barnes was Griffin’s teammate for three seasons and played under Rivers for two seasons. Barnes is not the first to cite Rivers as a source of the Clippers’ problems. After Chris Paul was traded to the Rockets, a report surfaced that Paul was unhappy with Rivers for giving preferential treatment towards son Austin.
