Boston Celtics fans brought their A-game for Friday’s championship parade, and Joel Embiid was among those taking it on the chin.
One Celtics fan was photographed holding a fantastic sign at the parade that compared Embiid’s ring haul to that of Deuce Tatum, Jayson’s son. The score currently stands at 1-0 to Tatum.

Embiid can probably find the humor in that, but it has to sting a little. After all, he made it pretty clear that, in his opinion, the Celtics did not face anyone’s best shot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. History will not remember that, though, as it will simply record that the Celtics waltzed to victory against all foes.
No doubt Embiid will continue to take some shots at the Celtics in light of their title. Ultimately, though, until Embiid gets one himself, it is the Celtics that will get the last laugh.
