The All-NBA teams were announced on Thursday and they included names you would expect to see like Stephen Curry, James Harden, and Russell Westbrook. Among those absent was John Wall, who had a message for voters.

Harden and Curry were absolutely deserving of the guard spots on the first team. It’s tough to complain about Chris Paul and Westbrook’s inclusion on the second team. Kyrie Irving and Klay Thompson made the third team.
The fact that Wall didn’t make either of the three speaks more to the wealth of back court talent in the NBA than it is an indictment on Wall and his game. Wall averaged 17.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 10 assists per game along with being one of the better defenders at the point guard position. He was the best player on a team that finished with the fifth-best record in the Eastern Conference. That’s certainly not a season to hang your head about.
At just 24-years-old, chances are pretty good John Wall will make the All-NBA Team at some point before his career is over. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the year. However, a more motivated Wall will certainly benefit the Wizards next season, which would be scary for the rest of the Eastern Conference.
