The expectation remains that Kevin Durant will return at some point during the Western Conference Finals, but that is unlikely to happen before Game 3.
According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN, Durant will definitely miss Game 1, and is unlikely to play in Game 2, either.
Kevin Durant is out for at least Game 1 of the WCF, source tells ESPN. He’s not being re-evaluated until Thursday so it’s “unlikely “ he plays Game 2 either.

Durant is dealing with a mild calf strain, and his status going forward is dependent on that re-evaluation. There has been ongoing optimism that he’ll be able to play some part in the Western Conference Finals, but it simply won’t come early in the series. The Warriors will hope that they won’t need him to win the first two at home.
